How It All Started:

Growing up, I was always striving for perfection.

Perfect grades. Perfect body. Perfect life.

Why? Because I believed that perfection would make me lovable. I thought the more perfect I became, the more people would accept and admire me. I became consumed by how the world saw me, and in the process, I lost sight of who I truly was.

I was doing everything I could so that I could feel validated. Pushing myself at school, my job, at the gym and following the ‘perfect diet’.

As for everyone around me, they thought I had it all together. I was disciplined, and I was a hard worker. It was the perfect mirage I had built. And it made me feel like I was WINNING.

 

My Silent Struggle with Control:

What no one knew was that I had lost myself.

Completely.

My only goal in life was to look and be perfect.

I was obsessed with how I presented myself to the world. At that time, I didn’t know where this obsession came from, but it took over.

So I continued working out relentlessly, depriving myself of food and overindulging for solace. I was trapped in a vicious cycle.

I became my body’s worst enemy, numbing myself in the endless pursuit of perfection, without ever stopping to ask why.

When I moved to a new city, I thought I could reinvent myself. But my struggles followed me, stronger than ever. Food controlled me, and I had no power over it.

 

My Turning Point:

Inside, I felt hollow. The relentless pressure and disconnection overwhelmed me.

But I finally realised there has to be another way.

So I started asking myself harder questions:

When will this end?

When will I start loving myself and my body?

Will I spend my whole life obsessing over food and my weight?

When will I finally find freedom and happiness?

When will I finally stop depriving myself of food and joy? 

 

My Transformation:

And after over a decade of questioning my self-worth, and battling with disordered eating patterns and body dysmorphia, I finally saw the light at the end of the tunnel that I thought would never end.

And that light illuminated a better way. One that did NOT involve spending a lifetime obsessing over food and my body!

INSTEAD.

It brought me to step into my most confident and happy self.

I ate without shame or guilt, while standing secure and empowered in my body.

The key to this transformation was aiming for long-term success instead of seeking short-term solace in the next new diet.

> I shifted my focus inward and uncovered the limiting beliefs that had led me to feel immense fear around food and my body.
> I broke free from the grip of society and diet culture conditioning that made me feel that I was less than. 
> I tuned into my body's signals to guide me around food. 
> I found my worth beyond food and my body. 
> I started moving my body from a place of joy rather than punishment. 
> I found love for food and my body. 

I’ve reclaimed my peace and joy, and there’s no turning back.

As someone who has been there and walked this path, it is now my mission to empower women to feel powerful in their bodies and around food.
